Dorothy Chan premiered Too Many Sweets (when Dorothy met Blake) for toy piano(s) and synth in New York last month. Here is a picture from her set. Dorothy is going to play the piece again soon in Illinois and also make a recording for future release (more on that soon!).

I had a great time at the MISE-EN Music Festival in New York last week. Great to meet and talk with composers from all around the world and to hear their pieces and presentations. Pianist Dorothy Chan performed my Mr. Turquoise Synth (2017) brilliantly, alongside Mr. Turquoise Synth himself of course. We hope to find a way to work together again in the future. Thanks to Moon, Jordann and everyone at Ensemble Mise-En.

I’m excited to go out to New York tomorrow for the MISE-EN Festival 2018. Pianist Dorothy Chan will perform my Mr. Turquoise Synth as part of the 4pm concert on Saturday 30 June at the Taipei Cultural Center. Just packing up Mr. Turquoise Synth (and Mr. Turquoise Synth II); they are looking forward to their US debut…
